Hi there! Welcome to my blog “Inspired by Boerdom”! I thought I would introduce myself and write a bit of the back story behind this blog in this post!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So hi! I’m Jen! Depending on what day of the week you meet me will depend on which hat you see me wearing! I am a ‘full time’ (whatever that means haha!) wife to Jono and mother to three beautiful children – Phoebe (8), Emily (5) and Matthew (2). I am very blessed to do life with them and to be their mum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I’m not wearing my “mum” hat or drinking copious amounts of caffeine, I work part time as a primary school learning and support teacher and I also tutor music (flute and piano) – while drinking copious amounts of caffeine (HAHA!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creativity has always been in my blood and I think one of the reasons I am so drawn to paper craft goes back to my childhood. I recall many occasions as a kid taking bits of paper and making things from them, whether it was human size paper dolls, dress up shoes, painting, drawing, colouring… My mum can probably attest to the fact that I was not often without some kind of crafting implement in my hand! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life is not all that different now (except that I have much less time to make things) – I still enjoy all kinds of crafting from sewing to paper craft to embroidery… although I cannot crochet! I find such joy in creating something out of nothing and seeing the way that a project can take shape though trial and error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So fast forward to now… I recently became a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. I absolutely love the versatility and quality of their products and find such joy in making things from paper again! I also got tired of having to go to my mum’s place to be able to use her things to create! I decided it was time to begin my own little collection of things to be able to make in the evenings. So now that I have taken over my dinner table and my family is forced to eat on a little fold out table (haha!) and my facebook and instagram feed is being taken over by my latest creations… I thought I would start a blog to be able to share what I am making! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And just incase you were wondering… no, the title of my blog is not a spelling error! It’s a (albeit terrible) pun based on my surname Boer!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
