I have to admit… I am completely in love with the Cute as a Bug Suite!
Everything about this suite makes me smile—the adorable Designer Series Paper, the sweet little stamps, the coordinating dies and those fun embellishments. It is honestly cuteness overload!
Once I started creating with this suite, I just couldn’t stop. Every time I thought I had finished playing, I found myself reaching for it again to create “just one more” card.
One of my favourite things about this suite is how easy it is to create fun, adorable designs with minimal fuss. The images are already so charming that you don’t need complicated techniques to create something special. A little fussy cutting, some gorgeous Designer Series Paper, a few embellishments and you’re ready to go!
There are so many amazing ideas out there, and today I’m featuring 3 designs by amazing fellow demonstrators!
Creating for our April Retreat

I chose 3 designs by amazing demonstrators to use and adapt for our April Craft retreat back in April!
At our retreats, a few of our amazing demonstrators design projects for attendees to make throughout the weekend. It is always one of my favourite parts of our retreats because everyone gets to play with products they might not own yet, learn from each other and be inspired by the creativity around the room.
There is something really special about creating alongside other people who share the same passion. Seeing everyone make the cards, change little details, choose different colours or add their own creative touches is such a wonderful reminder of why we love this hobby. For this retreat, I couldn’t resist creating with the Cute as a Bug Suite. This year I was short on time, so I CASE-d and modified some designs from other demonstrators! Thank you to all of them for posting their ideas online to inspire me! I’ve made sure to credit the original ideas below!
Card One – Thank You

A little bit about this card:
This card was CASE-d and adapted from Create with Liz. I loved the simplicity of this design, the way it featured the gorgeous Designer Series Paper, and made the adorable caterpillar the hero feature of the card! The beauty of this suite is that you can create something adorable without needing lots of extra techniques.
Card Two – Hello Friend

For my second card, I CASE-d a design from Diane Tuggle – The Happy Scrapbooker. You can access her original video tutorial here!
I just love the way she used the blends to colour the ladybug and Lily of the Valley stamp. The colour combination is one of my favourites! If you’d prefer written instructions, you can get these here!
Card Three – Happy Birthday

The third card was inspired by The Paperholic Stamper. I just love the idea of a bit of fussy cutting or die cutting and letting the embossing folder speak for itself! The beauty of this card was that people could choose the bugs and elements they loved best!
I adapted the original card a little, adding some gingham DSP and choosing some of my favourite critters – the ants! I can’t help but think of these little ants marching off to sneak some food from a picnic!

I hope you enjoy these cards as much as I did and the crafters on our retreat did!
