Dinoroar!

Staying on the theme of birthday cards for my kids… Matthew recently turned 3!

A happy birthday boy!

When looking through the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue I couldn’t go past the Dinoroar suite. Everything about this suite is so sweet, the stamps, the papers, the ribbon, the stickers… so I used some of my birthday money and bought the whole suite!

Luckily it arrived 2 days before Matthew’s birthday as I had really hoped I could make something for him using it! I decided to give a box card a whirl. I used the following youtube tutorial to get the dimensions to make the box base.

After the base was built, I stamped out a bunch of dinosaurs and trees and had a play with the layout to create my scene. I cut a couple of volcanos for the background – after all, what prehistoric scene is complete without volcanos!

Once I had built the inside I covered the flaps and the front and sides of the box using pieces of the DSP from the Dinoroar suite. It was so hard to choose as there are so many cute options!

I’ll definitely be playing with this suite some more in the coming months. One of the other things I love about it is it’s not overly “boyish” so it could easily be used to make cute dinosaur cards for little girls too!
